Field installation guide

Wind turbine foundation grout installation.

A practical sequence for baseplate and anchor-cage grouting, built from the supplied Sino-sina construction guidance and real site photographs.

Photographed site sequence

Correctly oriented evidence from mixing to completion.

Project-party names are not used. The visible work-record overlay is retained only where it documents the construction stage; its identifying fields were already obscured in the supplied image.

Installation sequence

Six controls that matter before strength testing.

This is screening guidance. A project-specific method statement must resolve geometry, volume, temperature, equipment, sequence and acceptance criteria.

01

Confirm the controlled documents

Use the current approved TDS, project specification, drawings, method statement and inspection plan. Confirm the selected CBGM grade and the required strength ages before materials arrive.

02

Calculate volume and secure continuity

Calculate net grout volume from the actual geometry, add the approved contingency, and confirm mixer output, pump capacity, hose route, standby equipment and available labour.

03

Prepare the substrate and formwork

Remove laitance, loose material, oil and standing water. Pre-wet cementitious substrates where required, leave them saturated-surface-dry, and verify that formwork is rigid, sealed and vented.

04

Control water and mixing

Calibrate clean mixing water by mass. The supplied CBGM-130 Chinese construction guide records 2.5 kg water per 25 kg bag (about 10%) as its site starting point; the current grade-specific TDS and approved trial batch govern.

05

Place continuously from one side

Start from the approved inlet and maintain a continuous grout front toward the vent or discharge point. Do not add water to recover lost workability and do not introduce uncontrolled vibration.

06

Record, test and cure

Record temperatures, batch times, water, flow and interruptions. Prepare strength specimens to the inspection plan, protect exposed grout immediately and release the next operation only after the required verified strength.

Field records

Do not separate material data from installation data.

A traceable grout record links the bag and batch to water, temperature, mixing, flow, placement and strength specimens.

  • Bag identity, batch number, shelf life and storage condition
  • Material, water, substrate and ambient temperatures
  • Water calibration, mixer capacity and batch cycle
  • Initial and retained flow at the specified intervals
  • Placement start/finish time, direction and interruption log
  • Specimen identification, curing route and release-strength result
