Documented offshore wind trial · February 2023

Full-scale grouting evidence for a pile–bucket composite foundation.

This public case summary is derived from a Sino-sina internal research report for a 200 MW-class offshore wind project. Client, supervision and third-party testing identities are intentionally withheld.

Why the trial mattered

The material, equipment and placement route were validated as one system.

The trial addressed both the pile–bucket cavity and the annular gap between structural elements. Its purpose was to verify the proposed grouting method and confirm that the selected high-strength non-shrink material could be assessed against the project acceptance criteria.

Requirements are presented as requirements—not as unqualified typical values.

Every value below is transcribed from the project table in the supplied February 2023 report. Product approval for another project requires the current approved TDS, test evidence and project specification.

Installation readiness

The trial method treated standby equipment and QC as part of material performance.

The figures are presented as documented trial inputs. Final equipment selection depends on volume, hose distance, pressure loss, lift, temperature and placement window.

01

Mixer

22 kW trial configuration, sized for uniform and continuous production

02

Primary and standby pump

50 kW trial configuration with replacement route planned within 30 minutes

03

Grout hose

3-inch hose in 10 m sections with quick couplings and pressure gauges

04

Pressure rating

Hose system specified for 1.5 times the maximum grouting pressure in the trial plan

05

Fresh water

5-tonne trial water storage for mixing and equipment cleaning

06

Site checks

Flow cone, temperature measurement, scales and approved strength specimens
